Dan Jones is a seasoned construction and development professional, with expertise spanning development management, operations, and large-scale project execution. As a Partner and Chief Operating Officer (COO) at HarbourTown Group, Dan leads the firm’s operational strategy, ensuring projects are structured for success and delivered with efficiency, precision, and the highest standards.

With over two decades of experience in real estate development, construction, and pre-construction planning, Dan has held key leadership positions in some of Atlantic Canada’s top construction firms. Before joining HarbourTown, he served as Director of Pre-Construction at Lindsay Construction, Partner at Acadian Construction, and Director of Design-Build at Dora Construction, managing the successful execution of commercial, residential, and institutional projects worth hundreds of millions of dollars.

Earlier in his career, Dan spent nearly a decade as Design Manager at Sobeys, where he played a pivotal role in strategic site selection, planning, and execution of real estate projects across the region. This experience gave him a deep understanding of land acquisition, feasibility analysis, and how to align development strategy with long-term business growth-skills that have proven invaluable in his approach to development and construction management at HarbourTown.

After years of leading projects for clients, Dan saw the opportunity to become a direct stakeholder in real estate development rather than simply managing the process for others. Partnering with Blake Wilson, Matt Flynn, and Brendan Horning to launch HarbourTown Group was a natural step-allowing them to merge financing, development, and construction into a fully integrated real estate platform.
