Site Superintendents

Are you a seasoned Site Superintendent looking for your next challenge? Look no further! HarbourTown Construction Management Inc. is seeking a dynamic individual to join our team in Halifax, NS. This is a full-time, permanent position offering an exciting opportunity to lead and supervise the construction process for commercial and multi-residential projects.

Key Responsibilities

On-Site Management: Oversee all on-site construction activities, including safety program, schedule management, subcontractor coordination, manage material deliveries and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

Team Leadership: Provide strong leadership, chair site meetings, and foster positive relationships with the project team to ensure productivity and accountability throughout the project duration.

Quality Control: Implement and enforce quality control procedures to maintain high standards of workmanship and compliance with project specifications.

Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment for all personnel on site.

Subcontractor Coordination: Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to schedule work activities, resolve conflicts, and ensure timely delivery of materials and services.

Communication Excellence: Maintain clear and regular communication with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to provide project updates and address concerns promptly.

Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, including field reports, progress photos, schedules, and drawings, to track milestones and facilitate project closeout.

Problem Solving: Identify and resolve construction issues and unforeseen challenges that may arise during the construction process.

Continuous Improvement: Proactively seek opportunities for process improvements and innovation to enhance project efficiency.

Qualifications

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in commercial construction, extensive knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques, strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, proficiency in construction management software such as Procore, Last Planner System, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and Bluebeam is an asset.
